    • December - Licence Awarded in UK 14th Onshore Licensing Round - Isle of Wight
    • November - Received consent from the UK Environment Agency for flow test  of Horse Hill-1 Oil Discovery, Weald Basin, UK
    • November - Signed agreement with Aminex to farmout a 12.5% net working interest in Ruvuma PSA, Tanzania. Bowleven will join the Ruvuma PSA joint venture with a 50% net working interest 
    • October–Weald Basin-Conceptual Low-Impact Oil Development Plan for Jurassic Limestones
    • October-Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation ('TPDC') confirmed the intention to exercise its right to back into the Kiliwani North Development Licence ('KNDL') for a 5% working interest as a fully paying partner
    • August– Schlumberger's independent assessment: OIP of 10.993 billion barrels to lie within the 55 square miles of the PEDL137 and PEDL246 Horse Hill licences (”the Licence Area”) in the Weald Basin
    • June– Nutech's independent assessment: OIP of 9,245 mmbbls for the Jurassic section within the 55 square mile area covered by the Horse Hill licences
    • June – Schlumberger's independent evaluation of Horse Hill's unconventional oil potential: approximately 271 million barrels of oil per square mile
    • May – Competent Person's Report: detailed technical evaluation of the Kiliwani North (KNDL") and the Ruvuma ("PSC") assets 
    • May – The exploration stage of the Horse Hill ("HH") PEDL137 licence has now been extended to 30 September 2016

    • April – Solo Oil exchanged its shareholding in Pan Minerals for a direct holding of 15.9% in Burj Africa to purse marginal field opportunities in Nigeria
    • April – Solo Oil raised £2,000,000 gross proceeds via placing
    • April – Significant upgrade to the Horse Hill discovery, Weald Basin - Total oil in place of 158 million barrels of oil per square mile
    • February – Kiliwani North - Completion of pipeline construction from Songo Songo processing plant
